The
bolt-4-bolt
program
was introduced
in an effort
to support
individuals
interested
in replacing
existing
bolts and
anchors
on cliffs
across the
US. Each
year Fixe
receives
hundreds
of requests
for support
and donations.
We work
with non-profit,
grass-roots,
government
and private
organizations.
Each month
we will
select one
existing
route from
those submitted
for replacement.
Our intention
is to support
the replacement
of existing
bolts, hangers
and anchors.
All
applications
selected,
and hardware
supplied
will be
documented
and available
for public
viewing
at this
site.
The
persons
responsible
for submission
and replacement
will also
be listed
at this
site. Our
goal is
to support
safe climbing,
acknowledge
the first
ascentionist's
style, and
maintain
the history
and heritage
of each
climbing
area.
